Think-A-Tron

This study explores how textual objects influence other forms of media. The two artifacts we studied were Hasbro’s 1960s toy The Think-a-tron and The Book of Knowledge: The Children’s Encyclopedia by Arthur Mee, on which the toy is based. The Think-a-tron was marketed as an educational game that allowed children to insert punch cards into a computer-like machine and receive answers to trivia questions.
